Summer camp – My Piešt’any – Day 3

on July 23, 2014

Today we tried to take a Simpsons style photo of the students on the couch – as there are 8 of them they couldn’t quite fit but they did their best.

Today’s vocabulary included comparatives and superlatives, although this wasn’t really reflected in the stories produced by the students. I think they get so excited when they find someone or something to photograph that they forget what they are supposed to ask.

Lodenica, a popular recreational area by Lake Slnava, was our destination today, so most of the students came to school on bikes, as it is quite a long walk from the school. But it was worth visiting, not only because it’s a beautiful area, but also because it was a nice sunny day and there were a lot of people around.

Petra and Miriam got straight into interviewing mode:

This little guy wasn’t saying much

And this table had definitely seen better days and was having a breakdown in the car park

You can read today’s stories, which include a couple of encounters with a friendly fisherman, and a reflection on littering here

Tomorrow the students are going to parts of Piešt’any that we haven’t previously covered. Look out for them – you could be the next person they interview!
