Good Friday in Piešt’any

on April 21, 2014

It was a lovely sunny day so lots of people rode their bikes to church. And locked them carefully outside the house of God, because you can never be too sure… Kind of like that (possibly apocryphal) Arab saying “Trust in God, but tie your camel to a tree anyway”.

It’s very common to see people standing outside the church during mass too – not sure why. You’d think that having made the effort to go to church they’d actually enter the building. but who knows.
