Restaurant fun in Budapest

on January 6, 2014

Budapest is a great city and I had a great time. Vegetarians are well catered for by most restaurants in the city and I ate very well during my two day trip. A word of warning though – restaurants along Váci Utca can be incredibly expensive. I even found an Asian supermarket that had a great range of spices, sauces and other items that I find it hard to get hold of in Slovakia, so I’ll be going back when supplies run low. There were also a few funny moments.

Very important – check the meaning of your proposed restaurant name in other languages

Sock and coffee are not two words that go together, even with a dubious apostrophe

Jack’s dog came to regret peeing on the carpet…

I’ll have the spinath pleath

I’m assuming they meant roast duck
