Stormy Sky capelet

on November 15, 2013

Here’s a pattern for a pretty crocheted capelet to keep your shoulders warm in the cold months ahead:

Craft: Crochet
Hook size: 4mm
Yarn used: I skein of Schoppel-Wolle Zauberwolle in black/purple colourway

Row 1: Dcr into third chain from hook and each chain to end (97 dcr)
Rows 2-5: Tr into each dcr to end
Row 6: 2dcr into each tr
Repeat these 6 rows until work reaches desired length (mine was made with 1 skein and just reaches about halfway between my shoulder and my elbow). End on row 5.
Border: rows 1-2: dc into each st all the way round.
Row 3 – sides and bottom of garment – sl st into first 2 stitches, then work shell (7dc) into next st, repeat until end of row. On top of garment sl st in every stitch. Bind off and sew in ends.
